Summer in the City and time for Wedding. I love how M knows how to choose the good things in life. And as Coco Chanel herself would say “The best things in life are free, the second best things are very expensive!” Just look at her dress, her ring, bouquet, hair done by Bjorn Axen, the setting of the table and all the details and the view from the outdoor ceremony at Alvik, Stockholm. I love how they flew away in a helicopter and flew all over the city of Stockholm and arrived to the reception and dinner by it! It was a beautiful summer swedish wedding with delicious food, champagne and company. Many nice and funny speeches and instead of the valse M and S disco danced and showed us some hot moves. I believe I am the luckiest wedding photographer to have couples just like M and S.
Stockholm Wedding at Djursholm
This amazing couple lives in Dubai. Seth is English but proposed to Christina in Swedish on the very day of Midsummer in Stockholm. Prior to that he had asked Christina’s father for permission- a bit old-fashioned and traditional. How romantic is that?! Preparations were in Djursholm were Christina was brought up and also at Villa Pauli. The ceremony was held in the beautiful chapel of Djursholm by the Archbishop Anders Wejryd. Friends and family began to celebrate the big day together with the bride and groom on a boat in the archipelago of Stockholm. The dinner was held at Strandvägen 7a. Christina is an incredibly beautiful bride and a wonderful human being I am happy to have met her. On her wedding day Christina is wearing her mother’s grandmother’s shoes from 1918, and a beautiful veil that women from four different generations have worn on their weddings. The tiara comes from Christina’s grandmother who got it from her mom. The dress was tailored in Dubai by Christina’s own designs. Hair was done by friend and hairdresser Maria Svensson and makeup of Mikas. Seth won a little bit of my Swedish heart when he held a long speech in Swedish to his beautiful Christina. Thanks for letting me share your big day with you .
Sunset Stockholm Wedding
When Anna contacted me describing her romantic wedding in Dalarna and showed me some photos of her beautiful dress from Swedish designer Ida Sjöstedt I was thrilled! But an other amazing couple were just about to book me as their wedding photographer in Stockholm so we decided that the best option were to shoot the wedding photos another day outside Stockholm. We had such a wonderful afternoon together and spotted some evening sun at Uppsala. I think Uppsala Högar made a romantic backdrop for the photos and was a perfect match to Anna´s pretty wedding dress. The shots in the woods were very special to me since I love these trees and the green colours go very well with the white dress. If you don´t want to trash your dress but still have nice photos that can´t be taken on your wedding day for some reason, I really recommend to contact me and we will figure out where and when to meet. Perhaps in Stockholm? Perhaps in Paris? Perhaps in Tuscany? I will be in Provence and Paris the forthcoming 3 weeks so please book a session with me if you like! I have a few availible dates!
Stockholm Engagement Session
Spring time in Stockholm and the Cherry blooms! It is becoming popular in Sweden to shoot engagement photos. I just love this adorable couple and I am looking forward to being their wedding photographer in June. I did quite a few weddings in the countryside last summer and also a few weddings abroad, but seem to spend most time in Stockholm shooting wedding this year and feel really happy about that. Still- if you plan to get married in Provence, South of France or Paris between July 22 and August 7, please send me an email. I will also be availible for couple sessions during that period in France. Well, back to this cute couple- Annie and Pontus met through common friends on a cold December night in Stockholm and haven ´t taken their eyes off each other since. Pontus proposed to Annie on a trip to Paris in an old fashioned romantic style getting down on his knees holdin his grandmother´s very old engagement ring from the 1940s in his trembeling hands, telling her she is the most beautiful woman in the world and asking her to marry him. The soundtrack Midnight in Paris seemed the perfect choice for the tuner even thought it was only breakfast time. Paris is such a perfect city for romance. Well, in Stockholm we have the cherry trees at least for a beautiful backdrop.
