Chateau la Durantie is the place where your story begins. The place where dreams come true and a fairytale is just about to be taken place. Friends and families come together to share and celebrate love and happiness. Greg and Audrew invited their loved ones to spend some lovely time together in Dordogne. I think I was as thrilled as them by the beauty and french charm of the chateau and I got very excited when they asked for bright, dreamy and ethereal images. What a prefect match! Audrew made such a stunning bride in her Vera Wang wedding gown. Her make up was made by the talanted make up artist Sanni-Mari Sorma, originally from Finland, so we made a little Scandinavian gathering and it was really nice to work with her. Beautiful flower decorations and bouquets from French Flower Style. When this amazing couple met it was love at first sight and I guess you can tell by the images that we have all fallen in love with Chateau la Durantie. Please contact me if you are thinking of getting married or already have decided to do so at this fabulous place and in the meantime I am planning to get back here as soon as possible. Remember- this is the place where dreams come true!
Stockholm Wedding at Djursholm
This amazing couple lives in Dubai. Seth is English but proposed to Christina in Swedish on the very day of Midsummer in Stockholm. Prior to that he had asked Christina’s father for permission- a bit old-fashioned and traditional. How romantic is that?! Preparations were in Djursholm were Christina was brought up and also at Villa Pauli. The ceremony was held in the beautiful chapel of Djursholm by the Archbishop Anders Wejryd. Friends and family began to celebrate the big day together with the bride and groom on a boat in the archipelago of Stockholm. The dinner was held at Strandvägen 7a. Christina is an incredibly beautiful bride and a wonderful human being I am happy to have met her. On her wedding day Christina is wearing her mother’s grandmother’s shoes from 1918, and a beautiful veil that women from four different generations have worn on their weddings. The tiara comes from Christina’s grandmother who got it from her mom. The dress was tailored in Dubai by Christina’s own designs. Hair was done by friend and hairdresser Maria Svensson and makeup of Mikas. Seth won a little bit of my Swedish heart when he held a long speech in Swedish to his beautiful Christina. Thanks for letting me share your big day with you .
Tudor style,Tjoloholms slott, Gothenburg
Dreaming of a wedding at Tjoloholms castle? It can be for real! I am totally blown away and overwhelmed by the castle in Tudor style with arts and crafts decor outside Gothenburgh in Sweden. I have visited Tjoloholms castle a few times and met the charming and lovely Mary Forsell Six who is the manager and discussed wedding photography. You can guess that I want to shoot a wedding here! I can also recommend to spend one or two nights at one of the cottages in allmogebyn. You will make a time travel for sure. The first time I saw Tjoloholms castle was in Lars von Trier’s movie Melancholia which Kirsten Dunst and Alexander Skarsgard, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Keifer Sutherland. I do not recommend my future wedding couples to see this particular movie, but a wedding at Tjolöholm can only be magical so please contact me immediately if you are looking for a wedding photographer! Another favorite I have is the musician Håkan Hellström, who recorded the music video ” A Midsummer Night’s Dream ” at Tjoloholms castle. Why is there a red wine glass? If you want to find out or want to ask me other things about the castle please contact me!
Pretty Chic Stockholm Wedding
I think you have seen and have read the lovely engagement story of Annie and Pontus at the wedding blog Polka Dot Bride. Their wedding at Djursholm was very intimate and beautiful with tender and dear friends and family. Preparations were held at Villa Pauli and the beautiful ceremony took place at Djursholms kapell. Annie´s dress is from Garamaj and she is such a stunning and gorgerous bride! I am so happy to have been recommended by my collegue Jennie Kumlin to this amazing couple and I was so thrilled an honoured to be their wedding photographer. We took the wedding portraits right after the ceremony at Villa Pauli and had a special moment by the seaside. Stockholm is truly beautiful at this time of the year.
Sunset Stockholm Wedding
When Anna contacted me describing her romantic wedding in Dalarna and showed me some photos of her beautiful dress from Swedish designer Ida Sjöstedt I was thrilled! But an other amazing couple were just about to book me as their wedding photographer in Stockholm so we decided that the best option were to shoot the wedding photos another day outside Stockholm. We had such a wonderful afternoon together and spotted some evening sun at Uppsala. I think Uppsala Högar made a romantic backdrop for the photos and was a perfect match to Anna´s pretty wedding dress. The shots in the woods were very special to me since I love these trees and the green colours go very well with the white dress. If you don´t want to trash your dress but still have nice photos that can´t be taken on your wedding day for some reason, I really recommend to contact me and we will figure out where and when to meet. Perhaps in Stockholm? Perhaps in Paris? Perhaps in Tuscany? I will be in Provence and Paris the forthcoming 3 weeks so please book a session with me if you like! I have a few availible dates!
Fairytale Wedding Faroe Islands
When the bridal couple asked me to photograph their wedding at Faroe Islands my wedding photographer heart beat faster and has kept on beating fast for Destination Weddings ever since! To travel and shoot people on one of their happiest days of their lives is truly amazing and I feel so honoured to do this. This is a real fairytale wedding with both danish and fareoish traditions and some scottish traditions too I believe, since the father of the bride is from Scotland. The groom is from the Faroe Islands and the tradition says the groom should choose the flowers for the bridal bouquet so the bride had no idea how the bouquet would turn out. What particularly stayed in my heart from this amazing wedding was the singing part during the whole dinner. Every now and then all guests would start singing beautiful folksongs. I cross my fingers to one day come back to the fairytale islands of Faroe.
Wedding in Norway and Lofoten
A wedding in Norway and beautiful Lofoten on August 4th. This is a part of Scandinavia that is breathtaking and well known for its natural beauty. Stunning bride Mari with her handsome Andreas. Mari´s make up and hair were done by Torill Nilsen at Ishavsklipp, the intimate ceremony was held at katedralen, Vågan Kirke, which is the largest wooden church built in 1898. The reception and dinner took place at Galleri Gunnar Berg Svinøya, Svolvær with the warmest and nicest family and friends you could think of. I don´t think I have ever laughed this much ever at a wedding! The dress covered with feathers is a Pronovias Bengasi and the flower is from Gerd Blomster. Many thanks to the cool driver Even Moe Jørgensen, brother of the groom. I am looking forward to shooting a norwegian wedding again!
